There has been a lot of buzz going in Indian film industry about the development of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and now that the movie has been released there are many people that find this movie extremely good including the state governments. Few weeks ago, Farhan Akhtar who portrays the role of Milkha Singh in the biopic requested the Maharashtra state government to make this movie tax free so that more and more audiences can watch this film that has so much more than just entertainment.
The Maharashtra state government has already approved it but that does not stop Farhan Akhtar as now Goa and Madhya Pradesh state governments have decided to tax free the movie in their respective states. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivaji Chouhan said in his official statement that the film is full of patriotic feelings and they would like the people of their state to watch it and inspire through it. While Goa state government announced that they will make the movie tax free for three months and that the decision has been approved by the State Finance Ministry. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Bhaag Milkha Bhaag also stars Sonam Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Dalip Tahil and Pavan Malhotra in supporting roles.
