Cory Monteith Autopsy and Toxicology Tests Completed

The death of the highly popular Glee actor Cory Monteith has certainly impacted many fans around the world that loved him for his role in Glee. The Canadian actor was found dead in Vancouver hotel room Saturday afternoon that has left many questions unanswered. There are many news sites that are jumping to conclusions on what could be the reason behind the death of this highly popular 31 year old actor. The BC Coroners Service has now announced that they have completed the autopsy and toxicology tests but the results will not be released for several days. Coroner Barbara McLintock said that they have forwarded the samples for lab testing so that would take time but she would try to expedite the process.

She said that she would try to do queue jumping and make sure that the investigations are done in quick time without compromising the integrity of the investigation. She also said that autopsy would not be required if the cause of death was found through medical history or through some other information of Monteith’s past, but since they do not have any cause of death upon initial examinations they went ahead with autopsy which is necessary to investigate if there is any foul play involved. He was staying at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel and electronic records and videos confirmed that he returned to his room alone on Saturday morning and was alone in the room when he died.
