The Sopranos has always remained one of the most memorable TV series and it was certainly the performance of actor James Gandolfini that made it so popular. However, it is shocking to see that the actor that once entertained us has passed away at the age of 51 following a heart attack in Italy. Gandolfini was in Italy on vacation and he was also going to take part in the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily along with Italian director Gabriele Muccino. So far the exact cause of death is unknown but his managers have said that it was possibly a heart attack.
Gandolfini impressed his audiences with his terrific performances as troubled mafia boss Tony Soprano in all the six seasons on the HBO smash series. The actor also managed to earn three Emmy awards for Best Actor in a Drama. He also acted in many popular movies like The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 in 2009, Killing Them Softly in 2012 and in Zero Dark Thirty also in 2012. Currently his body is in a hospital morgue in Rome and they will return it once they receive death certificate from the US Embassy Born on September 18, 1961 in Westwood New Jersey the actor graduated from Rutgers University. He worked as a bartender and a bouncer in the New York City until he got his first role in 1992 for A Streetcar Named Desire.
